Dallas Dance Collective Foundation Overview
The Dallas Dance Collective Foundation (DDCF) exists to nurture the growth of Dallas’s dance community by expanding access to education, performance, and creative opportunity. Through collaboration, mentorship, and funding, the Foundation empowers dancers, choreographers, and communities to share their voices, strengthen connections, and elevate dance as a vital part of the city’s cultural landscape. We champion innovation, inclusivity, and artistic excellence, ensuring that dance continues to thrive as both an expressive art form and a unifying force for generations to come.
VISION
We envision a Dallas where dance is accessible to everyone — a city that celebrates movement as a universal language of expression, unity, and creativity. Through sustained investment in artists and organizations, the DDC Foundation cultivates a thriving ecosystem that supports professional excellence, nurtures emerging talent, and enriches lives through the transformative power of dance.
HISTORY
The Dallas Dance Collective Foundation was established in 2025 to unify and strengthen the city’s diverse and rapidly growing dance community. Born from the collaboration and shared passion of Artistic Director Bethany Stimson and Creative Catalyst & Studio Owner Jessica Pool, the Foundation emerged as a natural extension of the visionary work being done at Dallas Dance Collective, their thriving performance and training space in the heart of the city.
Together, Bethany and Jessica have long championed the idea that dance can be both deeply artistic and powerfully inclusive. Their belief that everyone has a place in movement inspired the creation of a foundation dedicated to expanding access, supporting artistic innovation, and building sustainable pathways for dancers and choreographers across North Texas.
Under the leadership of founding president Kristi Posewitz, the Dallas Dance Collective Foundation was formed to connect the creative energy of Dallas’s artists with the resources and structure they need to grow. The Foundation’s work honors Bethany’s artistic vision and Jessica’s boundless creativity — blending mentorship, community outreach, and professional development into a unified platform for the future of dance in Dallas.
